HISTORY AND GEOGRAPHY Department
Program’s overview
The Department integrates comprehensive study of geography and history alongside educational theory and practice.
This program is designed to prepare students to become educators who can effectively teach geography and history in educational settings.
Students acquire a deep understanding of geographical and historical concepts, theories, and methodologies.
They explore topics such as human geography, physical geography, world history, and regional studies.

As the program is meant to train those who aspire to be secondary school teachers of History and Geography,
a prospective student to enroll in the first year of Geography-History must have successfully completed secondary

The Department of English-French offers a comprehensive program that integrates the study of language and literature with educational theory and practice This program is designed to prepare students to become educators who can effectively teach English and French.
Students delve into the structure, grammar, phonetics, and semantics of both English and French languages.
The program includes the study of literature in English and French, spanning various genres, periods, and cultural contexts.
Courses focus on educational psychology, curriculum development, instructional strategies, and assessment techniques specific to teaching languages and literature.
Students learn effective ways to engage learners, develop lesson plans, and create inclusive learning environments.
Emphasis is placed on methodologies for teaching English and French as second languages (ESL/EFL).

POSTGRADUATE
Program’s overview
A Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) is a specialized academic qualification designed for individuals who aspire to become teachers or educators.
The PGDE is aimed at graduates who hold a bachelor's degree in a relevant subject areaand wish to gain the necessary qualifications and skills to enter the teaching profession.
The curriculum includes courses in educational theory, teaching methods, curriculum development, assessment and evaluation, educational psychology, and classroom management.
There may also be practical teaching experiences or placements in schools to apply theoretical knowledge in real-world settings.

To enroll in the Postgraduate Diploma in Education candidates are required to have a Bachelor's degree from a recognized university or institution.

The Master of Education Sciences of ICK will provide high-level training in research and aims to train highly
qualified specialists, qualified in the fields of education and training. This Master offers multidisciplinary
training, which is based on contributions from sociology, the sociology of education, didactics (didactics of
disciplines and comparative didactics), policy, and economics of education, pedagogical approaches and the
sciences of educational innovation.
It is multidisciplinary training on key questions in education, socio-educational issues, and the transmission of
knowledge and classroom interactions; and trains students in quantitative, qualitative and mixed research
methodologies.
Applicant should have completed:
A Bachelor of Education in any subject of study with at least 60% or its equivalent
A Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) with at least 60% or its equivalent
