NURSING Department

Program’s overview

Department of Nursing is to educate and train highly competent nursing professionals equipped with the knowledge, skills, and compassion necessary to deliver high-quality healthcare.
The department aims to promote excellence in nursing practice, advance nursing research, and foster leadership and advocacy in healthcare.
Additionally, it strives to address community health needs by providing comprehensive nursing education, supporting lifelong learning, and encouraging collaboration within the healthcare sector to improve patient outcomes and promote public health.

Entry requirements

A prospective student to enroll in the first year of Advanced Diploma in Nursing must have successfully completed secondary school level with at least 2 principal passes with at least grade D in Biology and Chemistry and having majored at least in the following cluster combinations:
  • Physics-Chemistry-Biology
  • Mathematics-Chemistry-Biology
  • Biology- Chemistry- Geography
  • A 2 with at least satisfaction and at least 2 years of work Experience


Required documents

  • A notarized copy of General Secondary Education certificate or Results slip
  • Notarized Equivalence for international students and for those who studied abroad
  • Academic transcripts for candidates transferred from other higher learning institutions
  • Photocopy of ID or Passport
  • 1 passport photo

Exit and Career profile

Upon completion of their studies, graduates will have developed a comprehensive set of competencies that enable them to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
These competencies include developing, implementing, and evaluating individualized care plans that address the specific needs of patients; performing a wide range of clinical procedures and interventions safely and effectively; and monitoring patient conditions, recognizing changes, and responding appropriately to emergencies.

MIDWIFERY Department

Program’s overview

The Department of Midwifery trains its graduates with a set of skills and competencies essential for providing comprehensive care throughout the childbirth continuum.
These competencies encompass clinical expertise, communication prowess, and ethical standards, ensuring optimal outcomes for both the birthing individual and their newborn.
The department equips students with a blend of clinical expertise, technical proficiency, effective communication, critical thinking, and unwavering professionalism, all of which collectively enable graduates to deliver high-quality, compassionate care throughout the childbirth process.

This includes managing normal deliveries, offering advanced care and support for complex cases, providing family planning and gynecological care, and working in various settings such as hospitals, birthing centers, or private practices.
