JOURNALISM Department
Program’s overview
The Journalism program is designed to provide students with a thorough education in the art and science of reporting, writing, and multimedia storytelling.
It combines theoretical knowledge with practical skills to prepare students for careers across various media platforms,
including print,
digital,
and broadcast journalism.
The program trains proficient writers and reporters who can produce accurate, engaging, and ethical content.
Students are equipped with the skills needed to adapt to the evolving media landscape and emerging technologies.
The curriculum fosters a deep understanding of media law, ethics, and the societal impact of journalism.
Key components of the program include training in reporting, writing, editing, and multimedia production.
Students gain an understanding of journalistic ethics and legal considerations, develop skills in researching,
fact-checking, and verifying information, and learn to analyze and interpret information critically.
The program also familiarizes students with digital tools, software, and platforms used in modern journalism and provides insights into media industry trends,
audience engagement, and digital journalism.

PUBLIC RELATIONS Department
Program’s overview
The Department of Public Relations provides foundational courses in PR theory,
practice,
and strategy,
covering essential topics such as communication principles,
media relations,
and strategic planning.
It also offers specialized courses focusing on areas like crisis communication,
social media strategies,
brand management,
public affairs,
and international PR.
Students develop their written and oral communication skills,
including crafting press releases, creating persuasive content,
and delivering effective presentations.
The program includes opportunities for practical experience through internships with PR firms,
media outlets,
or corporate communications departments.
Courses in research design,
data analysis,
and public opinion measurement support evidence-based decision-making in PR.
Additionally,
students receive instruction in using industry-standard tools and software,
such as media monitoring platforms,
social media management tools,
